Senate House Libraries Catalogue

COPAC: This catalogue contains information on the holdings of many research libraries in the UK including the British Library.

Union List of Serials This is a combined catalogue of the titles of Journals or Newspapers held in the libraries of the University of London. Searchable by keyword as well as exact title. Select Union List from the drop down box wghich displays M25 Libraries

Greek literature

Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG)
Online resource: search in Greek. Over 110 million words. Follow link for Institutional subscribers. Use in the Computer Room - ask for login username and password.

Latin Literature

Packard Humanites Institute / Cornell University - Latin Literature Online resource

Bibliotheca Teubneriana Latina. Version 4. Teubner texts database - CD ROM loaded onto Dell 3 only. Offers more precise search options than PHI online version.

Library of Latin Texts Latin Christian and Classical authors. This link can be used on Dell 3 in the Computer Room.

Packard Humanities Institute CD ROM version 5.3 may be searched on Dell 3 using Silver Mountain software.

Greek Papyri

Packard Humanities Institute CD ROM Version 7.0 may be searched using Silver Mountain software on Dell 3. There are separate search options for: Greek Classical Inscriptions, Greek Christian Inscriptions or Greek Papyri.

Papyri fragments are searchable online (some with translations and photographic images) via the Papyrological Database.

Heidelberger Gesamtverzeichnis der Griechischen Papyrusurkunden Ägyptens Register of Greek and Latin papyrus documents.

Leuven Database of Ancient Books (LDAB) The present database attempts to collect the basic information on all ancient literary texts, as opposed to documents.

Bibliographie Papyrologie. Database on Dell 3 only which uses Filemaker Pro. Dates from 1932 onwards. Useful for locating bibliographical references to articles on Literary papyri as well as many other aspects - Subject guide is available to search using classification codes here

Bryn Mawr Classical Review publishes timely open-access, peer-reviewed reviews of current scholarly work in the field of classical studies

Gnomon
Now freely available online. A very large database. Thesaurus based database, also keyword, author indexes. For more recent entries, includes references to: Pauly, Oxford Classical Dictionary and Youtube resources.

Perseus
Library has 4 CD ROM version loaded on Dell 3. New version available online. Includes literature under Greek and Roman Materials and links to translations (Loeb editions by arrangement with Harvard University Press)

TOCS-IN
Freely available online. Basic keyword and author search. Mainly 1992 onwards.
